During my recent trip to Urauchi, I had the opportunity to stay at Irumoteso hotel. Although my stay was brief and just for transit, I found two features of this hotel to be particularly appealing. its convenient location near the Ishigaki Port made it a great choice for those who are traveling by public ferry. This allowed me to easily access the hotel upon arrival and continue my journey the next day without any hassle. the proximity to the New Ishigaki Airport was another advantage. For those arriving by air, this hotel offers a convenient option for a stay before exploring the beautiful surroundings of Urauchi.
Despite prepaying for my room nights, there was a miscommunication regarding payment, and I was asked to settle the bill again upon check-out.

I recently had the most amazing stay at a guest house with a stunning ocean view and an amazing garden. The staff at this place were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. One thing that stood out was when they picked me up and drove me back to the ferry terminal for free. The room I stayed in was new, spacious, and very clean, and the view of the ocean from the second floor was absolutely breathtaking. The dinner and breakfast provided were delicious, and I also had the option to rent bikes to explore the surrounding area. I felt like I was in the heart of nature, with the opportunity to admire the stars and fireflies at night. I had an unforgettable experience and would highly recommend this guest house to anyone looking for a unique and beautiful stay in the area.

I absolutely adored the warm and cozy ambiance of this charming motel. The traditional Japanese decor and the serene garden made me feel right at home. The low-set furniture and wide hallways were perfect for us seniors to navigate comfortably. It was such a pleasure to relax in the general areas, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and chatting with the other guests. Plus, the motel's proximity to the port was a blessing, making it easy for us seniors to access without any hassle.
My only wish for a better vacation for seniors would be to have additional assistance from the staff. It would have been wonderful if the children working there could offer more guidance and support as we explored the island.

Bikes to tour the island? Great! Now I'll have to pretend to enjoy cycling. Amazing garden views and sea vistas, truly spectacular. Guess I'll just have to suffer through kayaking and scuba diving in the beautiful area. Oh, and free shuttle service, how inconvenient!
Just hated everything. Not.
